Rev. Arthur Sharpe is a native of Pelion, SC, a small suburban town just outside of Columbia, SC.  He answered the call to preach at the age of 16 and has been evangelizing in some manner since that calling.  He grew up in the Pelion Church of the Nazarene and in 1988 at the age of 17 moved to Nashville, TN to attend Trevecca Nazarene University.  The following year he began his very first pastorate at the Madison Wesleyan Church in Nashville while attending Trevecca.  Through the years Rev. Sharpe has been active in community involvement and outreach in the churches that he has pastored, including the Radnor Church of the Nazarene (Nashville) and most recently, his home church, the Pelion Church of the Nazarene before coming to Pastor the Calvary Church of the Nazarene in Sumter, SC. 

Rev. Sharpe has also worked in the secular world with companies including Renal Care Group as a Computer Support Technician and Desktop System Designer as well as at United Parcel Service in their Technology Support Group before being promoted to management as the UPS Tennessee District’s Communications Specialist/Director. 

In 1992 he married his college sweetheart, Michelle of Nashville, TN.  After nine years of marriage and a divine healing miracle from God, their twins Trey and Wes were born in 2001 and then their third son, Joshua in December 2003.  Their boys are avid, “ball” fans and enjoy happy meals whenever they have the chance!  The Sharpe’s number one priority is to love the Lord with all of their hearts through loving those that God has entrusted them to Pastor.  Rev. Sharpe is a lively and spirited preacher and worship leader that captures the ear and heart of listeners.
